Photography Thursday: Naturey Crap

So on the plus side, making this type of blog post a regular occurrence has actually prompted me to take more of those super cool flora photos that everyone likes so much.  Because as cute as my kids are to me, endless photos of them do not seem to have wide appeal.  Ah, a mother’s love.  So how about I post a few of my naturey photos and just throw in a couple of the kids at the end for good measure? Yeah, it is MY blog so I guess I can do that.

Yay for awesome bokeh and vivid purple.  Oh and note that yellow pollen from lillies as shown here does NOT come out of clothes in the wash.

This toadstool totally looks like a water tower to me.  Probably because I’m a water engineer. Hence the name of this blog.

This photo just seems to represent tragedy and loss to me.

More bugs.  I dig photographing bugs on flowers.

I am surprised by how difficult it is for me to choose a shot of my boys for this post.  Some are technically better, sharper, more striking…but this one evokes an emotion in me the others don’t.  And that’s the point.

Photography Thursday {Colorful Flowers Edition}

Some mornings I’m not feeling like a long, wordy blog post about money.  William from Poop and Boogies (if you’re not reading his blog, you are SO missing out) once told me he liked my blog more for my photography than the writing anyway.  So I will try to regularly feature some of my favorites for a little inspiration to get us through the end of the week.

Finally went back and edited a bunch I’d forgotten about.

And here’s one I love of the twin sisters I photographed.

Probably my favorite from my session with these little dudes.

I guess I was in the mood for some serious flowery color this morning.  Hope you enjoy these!
