Beach Family Photography Saturday

In the past I’ve kept the bulk of my photography relegated to my Flickr stream, or occasionally my photography business blog, Enlightened Photography.  But I am realizing that not everyone that reads here regularly clicks over to my Flickr photostream from the widget on my sidebar.  Some of you have expressed great interest in my photos, so I will try to post more photos, more regularly.  Weekends should be great for that because blog traffic is dramatically slower. 

So here are a whole bunch of shots from my recent family vacation Bethany Beach, DE. I will post more from the vacation tomorrow. 

Hubbell Family

This is my favorite family portrait of the bunch.  I used a tripod and a wireless remote trigger for my Nikon D90.  The green looks ok, but it’s probably not my favorite color of the annual series of beach portraits we’ve done. 

Jack and Diana

My mom and her husband. I didn’t tell them about the green, but my mom wisely realized she’d be in some photos so she found a top that kind of coordinated with his.  I love these colors on them.

Family

Not the ideal coordination but not bad either.  The sun was rapidly sinking below the dunes when we got to the beach, so you can see how our faces go the gorgeous golden glow but the sand did not.

Nathan adores the waves.  I adore the pink sky at sunset.

Alex loves the sand.  I was lucky he was in a great mood for this shoot.

My boys really do adore each other.  I hope they remain friends for life.
